Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Grooo (grooo.io, app.grooo.io and grooo.shop) is operated by Ichira Corporation, E/1401, Sun Southwinds, Safal Parisar Road, South Bopal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380058, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
2. Who this policy covers
(a) Businesses that sign up for Grooo and their team members.
(b) Customers of those businesses — people who message a business on WhatsApp or order from a business's Grooo shop. For customer information, the business is responsible for how it is used, and we process it on the business's behalf and on its instructions.
3. Information we collect
• Account information: name, email address, phone number and password of business users and their team.
• Business information: business name, address and details provided for WhatsApp business verification, such as GSTIN or PAN.
• WhatsApp information (from Meta): when a business connects its WhatsApp Business account through Meta, we receive that account's details, its phone number, its message templates, and the messages and delivery statuses of its own conversations.
• Billing information: your Grooo plan and payment records.
• Shop and order information: products the business adds; and for customers who order — name, phone number, delivery address, items ordered and payment status.
• Technical information: sign-in cookies needed to keep you logged in, and basic logs (such as IP address and browser) used for security.
4. How we use it
Only to provide Grooo to the business: to show the business its own conversations and orders; to send order updates, replies and offers on the business's behalf through WhatsApp; to process orders, payments and deliveries; to keep accounts secure; and to provide support.
5. What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use WhatsApp information or customers' information for advertising. We do not share one business's information with another business.
6. Who we share it with
Only service providers needed to run Grooo, each for that purpose only:
• Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to send and receive WhatsApp messages;
• Amazon Web Services — to host our servers and store data securely;
• payment providers chosen by the business — to take online payments;
• delivery and courier partners chosen by the business — to ship orders;
• Google — only if a business chooses to sync its Google contacts.
We may also disclose information when required by Indian law.
7. Offers and opt-in
Businesses may send offers only to customers who have agreed to receive them. A customer can stop offers at any time by replying "STOP" or by asking the business.
8. How long we keep it
We keep information while the business uses Grooo. When a business closes its account, we delete its information within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, tax records).
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stored on secured servers, and only authorised people can access it. Each business can see only its own data.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. See our Data Deletion page, or write to us at the address below. Customers of a business can also ask that business directly.
